I became certified as an LCSW Clinical Supervisor in 2023. I enjoy working with therapists who are interested in starting a private practice of their own.
Professional supervision is a crucial aspect of social work practice, emphasizing the collaborative relationship between the supervisor and the supervisee. This dynamic fosters the development of the supervisee's competence, ethical standards, and professional demeanor.
The supervisor plays a vital role in guiding the supervisee to integrate social work theory and standardized knowledge into practical applications. Through this supervisory relationship, supervisees not only enhance their skills but also ensure that they practice ethically and effectively with diverse client populations.
According to the Missouri State Committee for Social Workers, supervisees are required to have a minimum of 4 hours of face to face supervision each month. In a typical month, Laura meets with the Supervisee twice for two hours each. Supervision lasts between 24-48 months, and 3000 clinical hours of clinical practice must be accrued.
Laura will refer clients to you, allowing you to gain valuable experience in private practice while working toward your Clinical License. To accumulate the 3000 hours of clinical experience required, it's advisable to have a part-time job in addition to seeing clients through Laura's Therapeutic Solutions.
Individual Clinical Supervision is $125/hour totaling $500/month
